For the fabric, I chose a lightweight 100% wool houndstooth. I thought this would be a pretty versatile color that could be worn with lots of different pants and be dressed up or down depending on the scenario.
For this look, I had to make a jacket with a full lining, welt pockets, shoulder pads, and sleeve caps. When coming up with this design I wanted to make a classic blazer.
This project took much longer than anything I’ve made previously and had a lot of tedious steps. Above are some of the steps that I took when assembling the jacket.
