I made the dress in hopes that my girlfriend could wear it when we went to the beach over spring break. For the design I wanted to make something simple enough to be worn in any setting so I decided to use a crinkle linen/rayon fabric. I thought this fabric would be a good weight to be worn in the Florida sun. I decided to do a tieback so it would be easy to take on and off while at the beach.

In the end, I was pretty happy with the look and through doing it I learned several new skills like making a lining, installing a hidden zipper, and making fisheye darts. If I were to remake this I would want to perfect the measurement on the back and try and make it to where it didn't sag as much. I would also like to make the ties a bit longer so they are easier to tie.
